Wounds of the Church is a place to tell stories, to find others like you, to know you're not alone.
More and more people are struggling with their relationship with the church. When the black and white, rules oriented version of faith breaks down, we have to find new ways to understand the faith we claim and believe in.
Often pushed out of community with the Christians we knew, not only is the transition in personal faith hard, but doing it alone is difficult. Here, you can find people like you.
Another problem in this new world of awareness is the dawning reality that many of us were abused by the church. Not only is it becoming more clear that physical and sexual abuse has occurred behind closed doors, but now we see the toll of manipulation, emotional abuse, control, narcissism, and bad theology.
Wounds of the Church is a confessional, a community, and a place of healing. If you've been wounded by the church, welcome.
